A whānau-built
music movement.
Southgate Entertainment brought Isaiah “Izzy” Perkins, Te Omeka “Omeka” Perkins, Carl Perkins and Samuel “PKS” Perkins together with artists from across Aotearoa. Before House of Shem, both Isaiah and Te Omeka were part of this Whanganui music chapter. The 2004 album Our Story joined hip-hop, reggae and R&B through a whānau-built studio foundation.
The official archive includes “Southgate’s Got Game” with Izzy, PKS and Omeka, “Gunz Down” with Messenjah and Carl Perkins, “Get High” with Izzy and Pure Source, and collaborations with SVC, Defwish, Tihema, Seth, Marino, Aaron G and others.
