Carl Perkins was a founding voice of House of Shem and a celebrated figure in New Zealand music. His work with Herbs, his songwriting, performance and dedication to whānau helped shape generations of Aotearoa sound.

With his sons, Carl created something deeply personal and globally resonant. Across recordings, rehearsals, long roads and major stages, his discipline became part of the House of Shem standard.
